The Government has advised the Core Cities to "work with what they have" - to modernise and seek new markets, but also to stick to their strengths.
When the GNP brought together the thoughts of all its partners for the Nottingham development strategy, seven themes that built on our strengths became plain. They were to:
Detailed plans will follow for each of these areas, so that the GNP can measure progress and report back. An invitation to take part will also be issued, so that organisations can judge their own plans against citywide criteria.
Our progress will shape our vision for the future, determining how others see us, and how we see ourselves. This work will be complemented by extensive research carried out for Experience Nottinghamshire to determine a new Nottingham brand.
